In the event of ice or snow it is necessary to ensure that you have taken reasonable steps to ensure that car parks, pathways and/or children’s play areas are free from the risk of slips, trips and falls as a result of inclement weather. To ensure this risk is mitigated, Brass Facilities offer a single site gritting service which works at two levels.
Before ordering your bins give thought as to where you would like them located (or ask us for advice) and remember to include those easily forgotten areas. By having a ready supply of salt you can react quickly and save money.
The application of rock salt using our “Easy Spreader” spreading machine to ensure even and precise distribution along with a rapid rate of spread. This option is Ideal if the area to be treated is large and time is limited.
In order to minimise your costs Brass Facilities will only grit when necessary. This means that even when the temperature drops below zero we will not necessarily grit. This is due to the prevailing air conditions at the time. In addition, previous applications may also render gritting unnecessary. However, where gritting is requested it will usually be done at night to minimise disruption to you.
Close supervision, together with a report of the work that has been done, will give you peace of mind which leaves you free to manage your business.
