Depending on the nature of the clean we will adopt one of the following;

• Hot water extraction for heavily soiled carpets and restoration cleans – Having been vacuumed, a pre determined spray is applied to the carpet followed by a rotary scrubber with a soft brush to assist the pre spray in breaking up the dirt. The rinsing process removes the dirt and a rotary soft pad is then used which removes any moisture. Finally, large fans are used to dry the carpet.
• Low moisture bonnet cleaning for maintenance and surface cleans – Having been vacuumed the carpet is sprayed with a special solution before a slow rotary machine with a soft pad (sprayed with the same solution) is taken over the carpet to mop up surface dirt. The pad is replaced once dirty and this process is repeated until the carpet is thoroughly cleaned. Dryers are used to speed up the drying process.
• Encapsulation cleaning for maintenance and surface cleans – Having been vacuumed the carpets are sprayed with a polymer solution which breaks up dirt particles ready for vacuuming once dry. Once sprayed we use a rotary pad which is slightly aggressive and this is worked in conjunction with the polymer solution to remove the most stubborn dirt. The polymers are left to dry before a final vacuum. Used on a regular basis this is an excellent way to retain your carpet in its original condition.

Our procedures are the same whatever the task. There are a range of fabrics and each respond differently to the various cleaning solutions that are available. So before we apply any solution we will first check the fibre content. This is followed by a light application of fabric cleaning solution (usually applied using a spray). A soft brush is then used to work the solution into the fabric and left to settle. This removes the soiling from the fabric. A Drimaster tool, set to the correct temperature and water flow, is then used to remove the solution from the fabric. Despite applying a lot of water the Drimaster’s ingenious design ensures that the foam beneath the surface fabric remains dry. This ensures a drying time of hours rather than days. Finally, air movers are used so that your upholstery is (in some, not all, cases) ready to sit on.

Please note that upholstery cleaning is a delicate process requiring care and attention to detail. The time taken to clean an item of upholstery will therefore vary, depending on its condition and fabric.
